Their voluntary service, their courage in all circumstances are always present in their spirit…
Today, they represent more than 249 300 men and women (12 %) distributed throughout France. In the service of all the social categories, day and night, they intervened 4 250 100 times for year 2009 which represent 1 intervention every 7,4 seconds. ( Statistics 2009)
