Peter Garrett chanteur leader du groupe surnommé le "Géant Vert" pour ses idées écolos quitte le groupe en 2002. Il se consacrera à la vie politique australienne
jusqu'en 2013. Devient ministre de l'Environnement en 2007 et ministre de l'Education en 2010.
Reformation en 2016 pour une seconde carrière du groupe.
